The Challenge

A confidential client required a solution to automatically compare technical specification documents submitted by different customers. The existing manual comparison process was:

  • Labor-intensive – Engineers had to read through lengthy documents line by line.
  • Error-prone – Subtle changes in material, process, or certification could be overlooked.
  • Inconsistent – Differences in document formatting and structure made comparisons unreliable.

The goal was to automate clause-level comparisons using AI and NLP to detect differences, highlight key changes, and produce clear, structured reports — all while accommodating diverse file formats (PDF, DOCX, scanned documents).

The Solution

Megatron Solutions developed a full-featured web-based platform with built-in report generation to automate the entire comparison process.

  • Customizable Output – Generated both side-by-side HTML diff views and downloadable Excel/PDF summary reports.

  • Web App UI – Allowed file uploads, real-time comparison viewing, and result downloads.
